IGVF Data and Coordinating Center (U24 Clinical trials Not Allowed)
This NOFO funds a cooperative-agreement data and coordinating center for the IGVF Consortium to build and maintain a public variant-impact data portal, searchable catalog, and consortium coordination functions.
⚑ Clinical trials not allowed · Non-U.S. entities are not eligible · No foreign subawards/subcontracts allowed · Cooperative agreement; substantial NIH programmatic coordination expected
This is a biomedical genomics data-infrastructure coordinating center, centered on variant catalogs, bioinformatics, and consortium management. It does not align with IPPRA’s core program lines in public risk perception, energy/nuclear issues, weather communication, or education policy evaluation.

Description
The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) is publishing a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for the Impact of Genomic Variation on Function (IGVF) Data and Coordinating Center (DACC). The DACC will serve as the coordinating center for the IGVF Consortium and will be responsible for expanding and further developing a broadly accessible set of resources, including a data portal and a comprehensive and searchable catalog of measured and predicted variant impacts. The DACC will also seek input on the design of the catalog from the broader research community, organize and facilitate consortium activities, and seek opportunities to work with other programs and consortia. As a member of IGVF, the DACC will work with all consortium members to maximize the consortium's overall scientific impact and contribute to accelerating understanding of genomic variation.
Eligibility
Refer to Section III. Eligibility Information in the NOFO for additional information on eligibility.Foreign Organizations/Foreign CollaborationsNon-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations) are not eligible to apply.Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed. NIH will no longer issue awards (i.e., new, renewal, or non-competing continuation) to domestic or foreign entities that involve foreign subawards/subcontracts. All NIH-funded research involving foreign subawards/subcontracts must be submitted in response to a NOFO that is specifically designated for funded international collaborations. See NIH Grants Policy Statement 16.8 Collaborative International Research Awards.Applications involving foreign subawards/subcontracts submitted in response to this NOFO will be deemed noncompliant and will not be considered for funding. This policy applies to all monetary international collaborations resulting in foreign subawards/subcontracts, however, it does not preclude unfunded international collaborations or foreign components, funding for foreign consultants, or procurement of unique equipment or supplies from foreign vendors.
