Gabriella Miller Kids First Training and Outreach Core (U24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
This cooperative agreement funds a Kids First Training and Outreach Core to provide training, outreach, community engagement, and education that increases use of Kids First pediatric research data resources.
⚑ Cooperative agreement (U24). · Clinical trials not allowed. · Focus is training/outreach/community engagement around an existing NIH data resource, not primary research. · Foreign entities are eligible per notice.
This is primarily a biomedical training/outreach core for pediatric genomics data infrastructure, which is far outside IPPRA’s core agenda. While it includes education and public-facing outreach, the program is not about their risk, policy, warning, energy, or education-policy evaluation lines, so it would not plausibly be pursued by this team as a PI-led grant.

Description
This Notice of Funding Opportunity Announcement (NOFO) solicits applications for the development of the Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Program (Kids First) Training and Outreach Core (TOC). The Kids First TOC will collaborate with the Kids First Data Resource Center (DRC), which is charged with facilitating data collection, harmonization, and sharing and serves as a point of contact for existing Kids First Data. The TOC, in turn, will facilitate training, outreach, community engagement, and education for the Kids First Program and bolster efforts to enhance utilization of and participation in Kids First data resources. In collaboration with the NIH Kids First Working Group, the TOC will direct strategic alignment and execution of training and education activities, and provide outreach and education to the research community on using the Data Resource, as well as to the general public about the resources available from Kids First.
