12 / 100 IPPRA team judgment

This is a biomedical/clinical mechanistic consortium on gastrointestinal interoception, dysmotility, biomarkers, and future therapeutics. It is far outside IPPRA’s social-behavioral program lines in risk perception, hazard communication, energy/security, education policy, and public opinion.

Description

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites new applications to participate in the Diseases of Gastrointestinal Interoception Consortium (DGIC). The overall objectives of this consortium are to: 1) identify the underlying mechanisms that link altered GI interception more directly to GI dysmotility and symptoms; 2) identify disease or response biomarkers that better assess pathophysiology or treatment efficacy; and 3) leverage state-of-the-art technologies to identify novel therapeutic targets that could be assessed in future clinical trials.

This NOFO uses a cooperative agreement mechanism (U01) and runs in parallel with a companion NOFO ( RFA-DK-28-214) .
