Pancreatic Cancer Detection Consortium: Management and Data Coordination Unit (U24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
NCI will fund one cooperative-agreement Management and Data Coordination Unit to support the Pancreatic Cancer Detection Consortium through study design, protocol development, statistical analysis, data management, biorepository coordination, and consortium logistics for early detection research on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and precursor lesions.
⚑ Clinical Trial Not Allowed · Foreign organizations and foreign components are not allowed · Cooperative agreement with consortium coordination/data management functions
This is a biomedical cancer-data coordination and clinical-research infrastructure award centered on pancreatic cancer detection, biorepositories, and protocol support. It is far outside IPPRA’s social-science, risk-perception, weather, energy, education-policy, and public-opinion research portfolio, so none of the listed researchers would plausibly pursue it as PI-level work.

Description
Through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), the National Cancer Institute (NCI) is soliciting applications for the establishment of the Management and Data Coordination Unit (MDCU), one of the two scientific components of the Pancreatic Cancer Detection Consortium (PCDC). The PCDC will continue to address one of the four research priorities identified in the National Cancer Institute's 2014 Scientific Framework for Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma and conduct research on early detection of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and characterization of its precursor lesions to identify those patients who are at high risk of progression to cancer. The PCDC-MDCU will provide support towards collaborative efforts such as study design, protocol development, statistical analysis, coordination and data management. Other PCDC-MDCU activities include: coordination and support towards biorepository building; and organizational and logistics support for PCDC activities.
Eligibility
Refer to Section III. Eligibility Information in the NOFO for additional information on eligibility.Foreign Organizations/International Collaborations:Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations) are not eligible to apply.Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.
