NIJ FY 2026 Crime and Justice Research
Supports research on new programs, strategies, and technological solutions for adult criminal justice operations, and studies of the implementation and impact of the COPS De-Escalation Training Program.
⚑ Eligibility not stated in the notice; direct university application appears possible but should be verified in the full NOFO. · Two distinct topic categories: substantive crime/justice R&D and an implementation/impact study of a named federal training program. · High ceiling ($5,000,000).
This is primarily criminal justice operations, policing, and program evaluation, which is not a core IPPRA program area. The team could contribute methodologically to an evaluation design, but none of the named researchers have a substantive justice/policing line that makes this a plausible PI-led pursuit.
