Cooperative Agreement for affiliated Partner with Great Basin Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit
Funds a CESU partner to analyze and synthesize Lake Tahoe Basin stream temperature monitoring data for trend assessment and adaptive water-quality management.
⚑ Eligibility is limited to participating partners of the Great Basin Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU). · Cooperative agreement with interagency collaboration; project centers on existing monitoring data and reproducible analysis rather than field collection. · Award ceiling is $350,000.
This is an ecological/stream-temperature monitoring and analysis project centered on USGS/Forest Service land-management science, not the team’s social-behavioral risk, policy, or public-opinion lines. The only loose overlap is with environmental or water-related work, but it is not a plausible PI-level fit for this IPPRA team.

Description
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research to analyze, synthesize, and interpret the latest stream temperature monitoring data in the Lake Tahoe Basin. This project will use the best available science and reproducible analytical methods to evaluate long-term trends, identify ecological thresholds, and support adaptive management. Project activities will be conducted in collaboration with interagency partners and be focused on long-term monitoring data collected and curated by the U.S. Forest Service, Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit to modernize their 2016 Land Management Plan for water quality/stream temperature monitoring for the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit.
Eligibility
This financial assistance opportunity is being issued under a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units (CESU) Program. CESU's are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education. Eligible recipients must be a participating partner of the Great Basin Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit.
