Restorative and health-Enhancing Sleep Time (REST)
ARPA-H seeks proposals to develop objective, home-based closed-loop sleep technologies that detect sleep microstructures in real time and respond to improve sleep health outcomes.
⚑ Federal contract solicitation under ARPA-H; eligibility details in notice indicate applicant restrictions but do not name a special applicant class. · Primary emphasis is on technology development and validation, not delivery of a sleep clinical service.
This is primarily biomedical/clinical device and closed-loop sleep-technology development, which is far outside IPPRA’s usual risk perception, warning communication, and policy/evaluation portfolio. The team might only touch it peripherally through public-health or technology-acceptance angles, but it is not a plausible PI-level fit for anyone here.

Description
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) seeks proposals for the Restorative & health-Enhancing Sleep Time (REST) program, a bold effort to transform how poor sleep is measured and treated by enabling objective, home-based, closed-loop technologies that detect health-relevant sleep microstructures and respond to them in real time. If successful, REST will establish the technical foundation for a new generation of sleep health technologies that are objective, personalized, and capable of improving long-term health outcomes at scale. 6/16: Amendment 1 updates links within the ISO 6/18: Amendment 2 adds Section 6.5 Questions and Answers 6/24: Amendment 3 makes various edits for clarification in Sections 1-3.
