Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Planetary Plasma Interactions Discipline Node Support Services. NASA/GSFC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire Planetary Plasma Interactions Discipline Node Support Services from the University of California Los Angles. The Planetary Plasma Interactions Discipline Node Support Services at the University of California Los Angles is tasked with continuing its core mission of ingesting, validating, and curating planetary data while providing essential discovery and access tools for the scientific community. The objective of this contract effort is to continue the work of Planet Data System discipline node in the provision of essential planetary mission support, data archival, preservation, discovery, distribution, and data usage services, as well as maintenance of standards and documentation, and provision of the services that enable discovering and accessing NASA planetary mission data for analysis. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial product or commercial service using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Candis.Edwards@nasa.gov and Ronda.R.Stone@nasa.gov not later than 11:00 AM on July 16, 2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
