Aviation Research BAA 2025
This FAA Broad Agency Announcement funds aviation and airport research topics for eligible applicants under the solicitation, including technical work in aircraft, airport pavement, safety, structures, materials, and related analysis.
⚑ Federal contract/BAA rather than a traditional assistance grant; read solicitation terms carefully. · Multi-topic BAA with topics added and removed by amendment over time. · Close date shown in notice may not reflect the full open period stated in the BAA (open for 10 years unless terminated sooner).
This is overwhelmingly aviation engineering, materials, pavement, hydrogen safety, and FAA technical systems work, with little connection to IPPRA’s social-behavioral research lines. The only remotely adjacent angle would be public acceptance or risk communication around hydrogen aviation, but that is not what this BAA is primarily soliciting.
