ERIS Shopping Notice - Thermal Management
DARPA is seeking foundational thermal-management mechanisms that could disrupt existing thermodynamic limits for DoD applications, under a federal contract notice with rolling review.
⚑ Federal contract notice; applicant restrictions not fully specified in the posting · Rolling review per DARPA-PS-25-05 · Seeking breakthrough foundational mechanisms, not integrated cooling packages
This is a pure thermal-management/materials engineering call focused on foundational cooling mechanisms, with no evident social, behavioral, survey, policy, or risk-communication component. It is not in IPPRA’s research line except perhaps at a very remote national-security framing level.

Description
DARPA DSO will be actively “shopping” the ERIS Marketplace for game-changing, foundational mechanisms—rather than modular, integrated cooling packages—capable of fundamentally disrupting legacy thermodynamic limits across diverse DoD application spaces. This is an active and immediate search for solutions. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis in accordance with the procedures set forth in DARPA-PS-25-05.
