Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for Battery Network (BATTNET)
This BAA seeks research and development proposals for battery network-related work to be funded through individual DoD contracts, with awards issued under the announced five-year ceiling.
⚑ Federal contract/BAA mechanism rather than a grant; awards will be established as individual contracts. · Five-year BAA with stated ceiling of $20M; no funds are issued against the BAA itself. · Applicant restrictions are not spelled out in the notice excerpt; eligibility should be confirmed in the attached BAA and solicitation terms.
This is a defense-oriented applied research call on battery networks, materials/manufacturing, and AI/data science, which is far outside this team’s core social-science program. The group might intersect only tangentially through energy-risk or technology-acceptance angles, but the solicitation itself is not about public perception, policy, or behavioral evaluation.
